Why would you worry over the 80g difference?
Maybe people aren't considering the sucky drawback to dropping your henchies down to 60%DP. It becomes really hard to kill jack.
I've been mapping some of the obscure places in South Shiver as I work towards the Master Cartographer title. As I went through the Mursaat and the henchies went down I thought cool I get a little kick back for them dying. After we were all at 60% DP from Ice Imp swarms and Mursaat ass kickings the few gold I made from the "kickback" wasn't worth the extra time it took to kill the foes. We did eventually clear the whole area, except where the Mursaat monk boss resided with another 10 Mursaat/Jade (mesmers, necros, and bows). Maybe we could have eventually killed them but I just didn't think it was worth the extra time.
Playing with friends and guildies is always better. I don't think this will alter peoples play style. Those of us who play with our hench friends, real friends and guldies will continue to do so. Those who PUG or play only with guildies will still do so. Making an extra 500g over an entire trip just isn't worth changing your whole play style.
